As i've gone through the process of recently changing broker dealers, I'm curious as to the number of people in the structured settlement industry that have securities licences. As those of us who are licensed are painfully aware, the standards for advertising, communicating to clients and disclosing conflicts and compensation are getting tougher literally by the month.

I think there are some specific advantages to being licensed in equities, but i'd be interested in the thoughts of others on the pro's and con's.
