Open forum discussion and ideas > How Continuing Education Standards and Pride in Work Affect Others in Your Industry

I've posted an article on Structured Settlements 4Real concerning a paper for a contnuing ed presentation to which authorship is credited to Spooner Phillips and a partner in a law firm. As my post states the quality is poor....one of the comments I've already heard is "of high school level".Members of our industry need to stay up to date with continuing education, have a firm understanding and (importantly) be able to articulate the principles of our business.and the mechanics of our products by possessing a high level of competence in oral and written communication. At times we may be competitors but its important to understand that what one competitor or competing firm does has a reflection on our industry (good or bad). I respect competitors who are prepared, adhere to a high standard of excellence and take pride in their work. This inspires me to stay at the top of my game.
